And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
Through Jesus Christ we have been reconciled (restored back into a right relationship) with God. He took our sin and gave us His righteousness. When Adam sinned, man’s relationship with God was broken for our God is a holy God. But once someone is born again they have been spiritually restored back to where Adam was before he had sinned. What Adam originally had has now been restored back to us.
Everyday God would fellowship with Adam in the garden. We now have the ability to fellowship with God through our spirit man. He has placed the Holy Spirit within our spirit and through Him we can get to know God and develop our relationship with Him. When we take time to go to the Word of God each day, He will begin to reveal Himself to us through the Holy Spirit within. He will also give us guidance for our life as His Spirit will bear witness with our new spirit man.
Adam was also given authority in this earth. When Jesus was raised from the dead and ascended to heaven He restored that authority to us for we have been seated with Him at the right hand of God. This represents a place of authority. To exercise that authority we use the name of Jesus, which is the name above all names. You can trample on the powers of darkness through His name. Through reconciliation we have been placed right back where Adam was before he sinned. We simply have to learn our rightful place of authority and how to use it.
