2 Corinthians 5:7
Indeed, our lives are guided by faith, not by sight.
Are you walking by faith, or are you walking by sight? Walking by sight means our decisions in life are determined by our senses, or in other words what feels good to us, what our flesh wants, or what we see. To fulfill God’s plan for your life one must learn to walk by faith, not by the senses. The devil knows this all to well and this is why he will do all he can to get us to try and take the easy way out every time.
When you know what God’s will is for your life based on His Word and what you know your heart is telling you in line with the Word, faith must be exercised. Faith believes in the heart, speaks with the mouth, and acts in line with God’s Word. Once you know what the Word of God says about any situation you may face in life, you must then settle it in your heart to believe the Word above all else you see in the natural, and act as if it is so because God’s Word is the Truth; and that Truth acted on in faith will set you free.
When you get beyond allowing the devil to convince you to take the easy way out and you stand your ground in faith, you overcome. 1 John 5:4 says this is what gives us the victory that overcomes the world, our faith. Faith isn’t about living a trouble free life, but overcoming life’s challenges. Are you walking by faith or by sight? Walking by faith is how we fulfill God’s will and reign in life through Christ Jesus, choosing to believe and act upon God’s Word instead of what is revealed to our senses.
