Fear Is A Liar

16 May

John 8:44
The devil was a murderer from the beginning. He has never been truthful. He doesn’t know what the truth is. Whenever he tells a lie, he’s doing what comes naturally to him. He’s a liar and the father of lies.

Fear is a liar. One of the primary tactics of the devil to manipulate and take advantage of people is fear. During this pandemic you can see this everywhere. The real problem in this midst of all we are dealing with isn’t as much a virus as it is a fear of the virus. This is important to understand because viruses will always be around. If people were convinced of the Truth of God’s Word there would be no fear of any virus. How does satan get people in fear? Through lies.

As the above verse clearly tells us satan is a liar, and the father of lies. Make no mistake this virus like all sickness and disease comes from him, for Acts 10:38 tells us disease is an oppression of the devil. He uses such things to create fear so that he can accomplish his agenda. What caused our country to close down business causing 30 million people to be unemployed, and to become quarantined even though they were not sick? Fear did. Fear that many people would die if they didn’t.

Our country has faced bigger threats than this and not gone to the extreme measures they have gone too. What if America’s people lived by what our money says, “In God we trust”. If we did, we would not have given in to the lie. Jesus said in John 8:31-32 if you abide in My Word you are my disciples, you will know the Truth and the Truth will set you free. God said He would protect you (Psalm 91), and that He has redeemed you from all sickness and disease (Gal. 3:13). Whenever you come under fear’s control, you have given in to the deceiver, the father of lies. Fear is a liar. Live in and by the Truth, and His Truth will set you free from the liar.
